Four students are selected by the dean of a university in Romania and his assistant Adrian (Billy Zane: Titanic, Dead Calm, The Phantom) to carry out research on the life of the infamous Prince Vlad whose horrific reign of terror, and fondness forskewering victims through body and skull, led to the nickname "Vlad The Impaler". Linsey, one of the students, has a necklace stolen by an ancestor from Vlad's tomb; an object that posesses an evil so powerful it can transcend both time and space. She
wants to return it but then encounters a cult group who worship Prince Vlad and who are desperately seeking the necklace for themselves.
